Is it safe to buy lighting from Mica Lighting?
Mica Lighting has been established for over 20 years in Australia.
All of their products are Australian approved (according to their site). But it is strongly not recommended to install the lighting by yourself. Mica Lighting offers up to 5 years warranty, but the warranty will be void if the lighting was not installed by a licensed electrician.
If you are worried that your lighting gets damaged during delivery, you can choose to have a transit insurance policy when you order online.
Does Mica Lighting have any showroom or store?
Yes in Campbellfield (VIC). They are open on Tuesday – Saturday at 9-5.
I live in a regional area. Do they deliver to my place?

Things You Should Know Before Buying At Mica Lighting
If you are unsure about anything (such as whether the light can be installed in your preferred area such as outdoor or bathroom), contact them first before you made an order.
Warranty is void if the light is not installed by a qualified electrician.
Real items might be different from what is on the website, due to computer and screen resolutions, angle of the photo was taken, flash, etc.
Breakages and loss via transit might occur. If transit insurance cover has been taken by the customer, then replacements will be sent in due course. Breakages or loss do not constitute a refund, only a replacement.
Postage fees are non-refundable.
For any items that are either “Damaged in Transit”, “Dead on Arrival” or “Missing From Your Order” you must contact them within 7 calendar days of remittance. These items will be replaced as soon as the necessary procedures have been adopted.
The warranty coverage period begins from the date of purchase. Please refer to the product description for the specifics of all warranty periods as they differ from product to product. If no warranty period is specified then the item is sold as-is.
All events such as physical damage, abuse, misuse, unauthorized repair, or tampering with a product may prevent a product from being accepted as a fault under warranty.
Items being returned under a “Change of Mind” or “Purchased in Error” will only be accepted under the 7 Day Returns Policy. Outside this 7 day period, these items will not be accepted. It is the buyers’ responsibility to return any items to them at the buyer’s cost. They recommend that you return items via an insured mail service for your protection. If a registered service is not used, and/or they do not receive the returned item, then they will assume no responsibility for the loss.
Items that are deemed faulty within the warranty period can be returned to Mica Lighting using a postal return voucher that will be issued to you.
Any electrical costs incurred to remove or re-install the faulty items will not be covered by Mica Lighting. Mica Lighting warranties cover the product only.
All items constructed from natural materials such as concrete, glass or timber, may feature the following characteristics: bubbles, slight lines, pin dots, cut edges, slightly off centre. There may also be slight variances in size of +/- 5mm between stock. These are not considered defects. Mica Lighting will not recognise or accept any unreasonable claim relating to the unique characteristics of these hand made products.
If you wish to cancel your order prior to dispatch, you will receive a refund less 20%, or a store voucher for the full amount. In addition, any surcharges that applied will also be deducted from the refund. This is to cover administration, handling and bank fees.
It may take up to 10 business days to process your return after they receive your item.
Mica Lighting reserves the right to charge you to collect the goods and to charge you for any damage that may have occurred whilst the goods have been in your possession.
Once the returned item is tested, if found to be not faulty, you will be required to pay for all postage costs incurred (both ways), before they re-dispatch the items.
Where the goods are listed as “Sale no Return”, then these items cannot be returned, nor a credit or exchange issued under any circumstance, unless deemed faulty.
If you have ordered an item that requires assembly or customisation, or mentioned as a special order item (this will be noted as special delivery conditions apply), these orders cannot be cancelled, returned nor refunded.
Any items returned for warranty must be accompanied by:
- An Approval Letter supplied by MICALighting.com.au
- Original proof of purchase, and
- A report from the licensed installer (on letterhead), explaining the fault.
